Read/Write Web made an article about The Implicit Web. It mentions specially the bad aspects of the constant gather of information on the web background:
The Implicit Web is already here and is being actively used by many companies. Yet, consumers are not aware of it – at lest not explicitly. And that is not a good thing. The Implicit Web and its close cousin Attention Economy are big and important concepts; and they are still in their infancies.
I already made a post about implicit collaboration on the web, mentioning what are the advantages for an underground share of information. But this is something we must do in a conscientious way, knowing that what we create content for the whole network. The problem comes when we’re creating data that’s being collected and that’s not informed to us in a explicit way.
