After a post of Alcides about OpenSearch I decided to implement it also on this website. It’s a simple process and you may follow the instructions on his post. Just create a XML file with the search parameters and include the link rel=”search” tag with the correct xml file link in your website’s source. I added two search fields here: one for sergiosantos.info inside search and another for my network search on Lijit.

The only browsers that support OpenSearch right now are Firefox 2 and Internet Explorer 7. A short list of search aggregation portals that support it is also available here. The next release version of Flock (my browser) – Sulfur – will also support it. There are already some pictures of the new version.
