We all know Captchas, those annoying things that appear in every signup form that asks us to write some random characters on a text field, form a distorted image. The idea is to simply prevent machine bots to spam databases with spam accounts, since there isn't still a machine that can parse characters out of their usual form. I don't know if this is the better way to assure we're humans creating an account. I really hope someone comes up with an easier way to validate this. Until then, we'll have reCaptcha that at least will give us some consolation prize for filling the field. Below is an example of the script, only for demonstration.

Here's a more detailed explanation, but the idea is simple. Ask for to the user the input of two words from the image. One is already identified by the database, the other is assumed correct if the first is right. And they even say computers are killing books...
