I’ve just read this article on Wired about a project of the Technical University in Munich. Built with lightweight materials, it’s a cubicle like house that offers all the needs of a basic home although it was specially design for university students. With a very attractive design, the m-ch comes with dinning table for about 5 people, 2 double beds, kitchen and bathroom. It also has a flatscreen TV and a control panel for all the house’s electronics including heating and air-conditioning. And for about 70,000€ they deliver and install the hole thing in any place in Europe.

The house just seems to fit perfectly in parks and forests and due to the small volume it can actually be put anywhere. It seems that the houses also enable the integration of several modules to build a sort of m-ch neighborhood. I just wish I had one in my backyard…
